Virginia Theatre

Virginia Theatre is a 1922 movie palace on East Mt. Vernon Street in downtown Somerset, Kentucky, acquired by the city for 1 dollar in 2020 and reopened in 2022 after a 2-million-dollar restoration. The 500-seat venue now hosts concerts, comedy, and theater productions while still screening classic movies, including its Classic Movie Night series, and hosted the inaugural Black Mountain Film Festival in 2025. Virginia Theatre is Somerset's beautifully revived historic stage and screen.
