The Avalon Theatre

The Avalon Theatre is a nonprofit independent cinema in Washington, DC's Chevy Chase neighborhood, saved from closure by the community in 2003. Its two restored auditoriums present first-run studio films alongside independent, foreign, and festival titles, plus signature series and embassy partnerships. An on-site café serving espresso, beer, and wine makes the Avalon a true neighborhood film center.
