Palace Theater

The Palace Theater is a 1925 Beaux-Arts movie palace in downtown Hilo, owned by the nonprofit Friends of the Palace Theater and celebrating its centennial in 2025. After a 17-year closure ended in 1999, this roughly 500-seat landmark screens arthouse, independent, and silent films with organ accompaniment while hosting concerts, hula, and community events across the Big Island.
